What are your beliefs?
The Scriptures - The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man.
God - There is one and only one living and true God. …The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy
Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
God the Father - God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of
human history according to the purposes of His grace. …God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through
faith in Jesus Christ.
God the Son - Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and
born of the virgin Mary. …He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross,
He made provision for the redemption of men from sin.
God the Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God fully divine. …He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of
righteousness and of judgment. …He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and
service.
Salvation - Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord
and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes
regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.

Do you observe Communion / Lord's Supper? As a guest, can I partake of the observance?
Yes, we observe the Lord’s Supper, usually once a month. We believe that only the “Church”, (those who have made a profession of faith in Christ Jesus and have been baptized by submersion) should partake of the Communion service. Guests who belong to like-minded churches, have made such a profession of faith, and have been baptized
by total immersion are welcomed to partake of the Supper.

What Is The History Of Dean Forest?
Dean Forest Baptist Church began as a mission sponsored by Calvary Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia. Families in the Dean Forest community felt the need for a church in this area. God led Mrs. Lillie T. Wall to open her home for the very first worship service.
On November 30, 1953, the congregation met to discuss constituting the mission into a church. The mission's pastor, Rev. R.L. Moore, along with the steering committee, presented their request to Dr. John Wilder at Calvary Baptist Church and it was approved. On March 7, 1954, plans were made for a dedication service to officially become what is known as Dean Forest Baptist Church.
On May 1, 2011, we celebrated our 57th anniversary as a church. The church has come a long way and today God is still in the midst of using our church family to reach a fast growing community for Jesus Christ.
Our goal at Dean Forest is not to build a perfect church, but a worshiping church. Our calling is to worship Jesus, know Jesus,
and always serve Him. When people love God, they get excited about serving Him. Their ministry is blessed and Jesus is glorified.

What is the Purpose of Dean Forest Baptist Church?
Our purpose is taken directly from the Bible - "For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." 2 Corinthians 4:5-6
