Music Ministry
The Music Ministry at Dean Forest Baptist Church has the mission to exalt Christ and make disciples through public and private worship.
Our purpose is to develop and nurture men, women, boys and girls as worshipers.
Our five step objective is to:
Edify and encourage the Dean Forest fellowship for worship and praise.
Evangelize and reach out to the community and the world through music.
Train musicians as worship leaders
Teach biblical concepts of music and worship, and
Promote the various ministries associates with our church.
Worship and the leading of worship are at the heart and core of the Dean Forest Baptist Church Music Ministry. It is what we are about.
We believe that God created each person to be a worshiper and that within the heart of each person is the yearning to worship Jesus Christ as Lord of Lord and King of Kings. Nothing will ever satisfy or fulfill that need and inner desire except active participation in worship of Jesus Christ, the Lord.
We believe God has called this ministry to lead all His people at Dean Forest Baptist Church in worship, young and old alike. Thus, we strategically design our worship ministry to meet the needs of a broad, culturally diverse congregation. We seek to teach and train all to be worshipers.
Worship and its application are works of the Holy Spirit. We seek to faithfully glorify His name, Exalt His person, and promote the Kingdom of God as enthusiastic stewards of the gospel.
Adult Choir
To become a member of the choir, you simply begin coming to rehearsals on Sunday evenings at 7:15 P.M. There is no audition required. After you have attended a couple of rehearsals, and when you feel comfortable, you can begin singing with us on Sundays.
